Practice your Japanese reading and speech skills while learning new things about your fellow Coto students?
Join from any VR Headset or from a browser on a laptop, desktop or your phone.
You do not need any special hardware for this event. It is mixed reality so you can join from a web browser from any device including your iphone – but you can also join from a VR headset with a fully immersive VR experience.
It uses webxr which is supported by all VR headset browsers and most desktop/laptop/mobile browsers.
This event will be using mozilla hubs spaces! You can test this event space on your browser or your vr headset at any time – if you are joining this event we highly recommend that you join this space ahead of time and get familiar with the controls.:

You can participate as either a Presenter or an Audience Member
Audience:Â Enjoy the presentation and encourage speakers with thoughtful questions.
Q&A – Japanese encouraged, but English may be used to get the questions flowing

(10 per event, chosen randomly according to Japanese level)
If you are chosen, pick something you can show the audience and prepare a speech in Japanese to tell the them about it.
Speeches will be collected a few days before the event, checked by a Coto teacher, and returned so you can practice and feel confident your Japanese is perfect! Keep speeches to 5 minutes or less.
At the event, you will
- Introduce yourself (Japanese and English)
- Provide help info (English, such as vocab or a brief intro about your item)
- Give your speech (Japanese)
- Answer questions (Japanese and English)
Examples of speeches: History of a stuffed animal, story behind a picture, your favorite part of your apartment, be creative!
